| Back in January I had some work performed on my Z by SGP Racing. Overall I was happy with the work when I got my car back except for a few small things (crushed tranny plate, a few bolts missing) that were resolved by Kyle with no problem. However when I did get my car back I was also told that it would smoke for probably like a week until the oil burned out (they poured 1 qt of oil out of my intercooler). After a few weeks I was still getting smoke in between shifts and after I would rev the motor and then let the RPM's stabilize smoke would billow out of the exhaust. I am told that it is not SGP fault, but rather the turbos were "poorly rebuilt". The funny thing is, that my AMZ stage 2 turbos are not a rebuild, but rather a new turbo. Since I just got done with school, I have had some time to get the motor out and send the turbos to my builder for futher inspection. The turbos had almost no shaft play and there was no oil in the DP, but there was oil in the inlet to the turbo. I am a catch can and my motor was compression tested 2 times with diff. gauges and still got similiar numbers. What I found when I took off my turbos straight pissed me off. Here are the pics you decide. Oil in the intercooler piping DS

Now for the turbos. . . Anybody have any idea as to what this can come from? Notice the slude in between the compressor housing and the turbine housing

Here is where I got pissed because I found silicone all over the oil feed line. I could not even get a wrench on there to take of the oil feed line. I was never told I needed new lines, rather they cleaned my stock lines which from what I have found is not a good idea. Kyle told me they put silicone on the oil feed lines if there is a small leak, I find that a rig, and I wish he would have recommended to me to buy new oil feed lines. If oil lines leak I would think they are no good.

The turbos are at my builder with the lines attached so he can further inspect. I will soon find out if it is my builders fault (bad build) or SGP fault (clogged oil lines) I hope that the CHRA is undamaged and at worst the seals need to be done. If that is case my builder is going to put a carbon seal instead of a dynamic seal. I am thinking that the oil lines have caused my turbo failure, but my builder will determine this as he has recently recieved my turbos. I am shocked to find so many little things done incorrectly on my vehicle, especially from a company as reputable as SGP. I will keep yall updated as soon as I hear something. I would appreciate any input as I have not driven my car in over month and am still stumped.
